Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero is a single-player role-playing game that lets players embark on a journey to fight off pirates who are threatening the world of Ivoire with a ghost ship attack. The gameplay revolves around sailing as you find the legendary crew members who defeated the pirates before.

Stop a ghost ship attack
Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero’s plot centers around Marona, who lives in the world of Ivoire. She’s a young girl gifted with the ability to converse with Phantoms, or spirits of dead people. When Ivoire gets attacked by a ghost ship, Marona and her friend Apricot need to unite the legendary group of fighters who had successfully taken down these pirates before.
Here, Marona and Apricot are the main characters. Here, Apricot plays a lonely Phantom girl whom Marona can talk to. Apricot is also trying to reunite with her father in the game. Aside from them, there are other characters that players can see, like Ash, a young boy who supports Marona all the way, even up until death. Each character has their own personality and story.
Discover each phantom's unique abilities by binding these souls to objects, combining them with Gadgets, and even merging them with Marona if you want. This feature is called “Confine,” where you can possess trees, rocks, and other objects. Moreover, Marona can also Confine with phantoms to change her physical appearance and access special attacks. However, there is little to no development in the character as you play the game.
Bug fixes
Since the release of Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero, several critical stability improvements have been made, enhancing the overall gameplay experience. You notice smoother transitions between locations, particularly when switching between Skull Island and the Antechamber tabs while awarding titles. System crashes that previously occurred during setup or when returning to base have been fixed. These changes create a more consistent experience, ensuring battles and exploration unfold without unexpected interruptions.
Additionally, the issues affecting key game mechanics, such as monsters repeatedly bouncing under certain conditions and parameters decreasing after Awakening, have been resolved. Problems when purchasing multiple mana bags and freezing during specific character specials have also been handled. Overall, the game now performs more reliably, allowing uninterrupted progress and better resource management. However, despite these fixes, occasional lag and minor interface delays might still occur, slightly affecting the pacing.
